What data is needed for a quote
weight (kg) and dimensions (L×W×H) for each package;
number of packages/pallets;
cargo specifics and packaging requirements;
route and pickup/delivery terms.
Volumetric weight and pallet freight
If cargo is light but bulky, the tariff may be based on volumetric weight. For pallet freight, pallet footprint and height affect the calculation.
How to reduce costs
Optimize packaging to reduce “air”.
Plan consolidation and shipping schedules ahead.
